Board of Directors
Ahtna, Inc. operates under the direction of a thirteen-member Board of Directors elected by fellow shareholders to guide corporate policy, preserve cultural values, and protect shareholder assets.
Governance & Seat Structure
In 1980, seven of the eight Village Corporations in the Ahtna Region chose to merge with Ahtna, Incorporated. Chitina Village Corporation chose not to merge and, as a result, does not have a designated village seat on the Ahtna Board of Directors. However, Chitina shareholders are eligible to run for at-large board seats, provided they also hold voting shares in Ahtna.
